Light Railway Stores is pleased to offer a personalised finishing service on pre-orders for selected RTR models. Select from our menu of options when you place your pre-order and we'll be in touch to organise everything.

How it works

Select your personalisation options while placing your order
Look out for our email contact to confirm your custom etch choices, if applicable
Once models are in stock, our weathering process takes around 2 weeks before we dispatch to you

Options available

Custom nameplate fitting

We provide etched plates from our Custom Nameplate Studio, personalised with your choice of style and name, then paint and fit them prior to dispatching your model.

Hand-finished weathering

A unique and hand crafted weathered finish created by our very own artisan, James Hilton. Using Humbrol enamels he creates his own colours and shades and uses a combination of washes and airbrushing to breathe life and character in to your model.

For further customisation or a more advanced bespoke finish on any model, James offers a commission service. You can contact him directly to discuss your specific requirements, beyond this service.
