Motor Rail 14T

Motor Rail built a variety of standard gauge shunters after the second world war based upon their successful narrow gauge Simplex design. This beginners kit represents a late example, the 14T 85hp model was found at gas works, small industrial sites and coal merchants making it the perfect small shunter for many modellers.

The kit is comprised of a fret of etched detail parts and a 3D printed plastic body. We recommend sparing use of superglue for adding the etched parts and details. A video walking through this kits construction is available on YouTube on our Planet Industrials channel (https://youtu.be/VvD2cAUm2kA) and should be considered part of these instructions. The kit is designed to fit a Hornby Ruston 48DS chassis without modification, re-using the four chassis retaining screws.

Requires buffers, e.g. RT Models 24" Sentinel/Bagnall short shank buffers.
