The compact industrial locomotive featured 8” × 12” cylinders, measured approximately 15 feet long and weighed just over 12 tons.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eInitially supplied to Constable’s (Matlock Quarries) Ltd., the locomotive subsequently worked at Ballochmyle Quarry in Dumfriesshire before moving to Manchester Oxide Co. in 1943. Following the company's takeover by Hardman and Holden Ltd., she was named \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMarcia\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e in honour of the managing director’s wife. After two decades of industrial service, she moved to the Kent and East Sussex Railway in 1963, where she has enjoyed a long preservation career.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNow jointly owned by Rapido Trains UK and Andy Hardy, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMarcia\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is the inspiration for an exceptionally detailed ready-to-run OO gauge model. The locomotive is currently undergoing a full repaint, with a planned return to service in 2027 in a livery as close to her original Peckett condition as possible.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDespite its diminutive size, the model incorporates extensive detail and tooling variations across the range, accurately reflecting differences between individual versions. These include variations in tanks, boilers, whistles, cab backs, buffers and lubricators. Selected models also feature an interior bunker, vacuum pipes, front steps and other specific details.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePerformance features include a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ecoreless motor\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, smooth-running mechanism and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMoPower stay-alive capacitor\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e for improved running reliability. A factory-installed speaker provides sound capability, while an \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eE24 DCC decoder socket\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003esupports digital control.
